It's a ten minute walk or drive through the farm to a variety of beaches and a luxurient low tide rock shelf. Our guests are accommodated in the self contained and very comfortable, private cottage or the charming fully equipped Chalet (both nestled amongst gardens with magnificent sea and farm views) or the unique Shearing Shed Retreat. Situated on a 1000 acre coastal sheep and cattle farm in the remoteness of the country and next to Kahurangi National Park and Golden Bays Tasman Sea coast, Te. Gently rolling hills, wetlands and karst outcrops all make up the landscape that we work in here in the beautiful South Island. It is owned and farmed by Jock and Joyce and their family John and Mary.

Our elevated farm walks take full advantage of all these features. Kaihoka Farm is a 3000-acre, working beef and sheep farm in the beautiful Westhaven (Wanganui) Inlet region of New Zealands West Coast. Ken and Sandra discovered Te Hapu and both felt strongly attracted to the property and managed to buy it in 1980. The farm is run by Ken and Sandra and the cottages are managed and hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Zander and Andrea Closs. Activities at Te Hapu are focused on our rocky coastline, sandy beaches and limestone outcrops. Te Hapu Farm and the cottages is owned by Ken and Sandra Closs. Explore our thousand acre farm and miles of untouched private beaches, coves, reefs and sheltered nooks.
